Paternity Nightmare

by Admin on September 6, 2013

CENTRAL OHIO FATHER LAWYERRecently, Yahoo! Shine posted an article about women who sell positive pregnancy tests, or even the urine of pregnant women, presumably in order to misrepresent a pregnancy.  You can read the article here: http://shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/crazy-trend-women-selling-positive-pregnancy-tests-180900627.html According to the article, advertisements for this type of thing can be found in places like Craigslist.  At the Law Offices of Virginia C. Cornwell, our Columbus Paternity Attorneys have counseled clients and potential clients who have been duped into paying medical expenses for pregnancies that were never real in the first place.  These clients were told that a former lover was pregnant, sometimes presented with text messages with a picture of a positive pregnancy test.  Our Paternity Attorney then proceeded to show the client that such pictures could easily be taken from the internet, and showed the client where to get the pictures.

PATERNITY ATTORNEYOf course most people would never act in such an unconscionable way, but sadly, it happens.  The moral of the story is when it comes to paternity, if there is any doubt, proceed cautiously, and don’t skip the proper legal channels for an unmarried father to establish parentage.
