18 years of child support all at once! It could happen to you in Ohio.

FATHERS RIGHTS PATERNITY CHILD SUPPORT ATTORNEYS IN COLUMBUSDid you know that fathers who live in Ohio but do not establish paternity of their child can be hit with a retroactive child support from birth up to age 18, even though the child is already over age 18?  Yep.  It’s true.  Once the child reaches the age of 18, the (now adult) child has until its 23rd birthday to file to establish paternity and get 18 years of child support.   In addition, the monthly child support amount (that will be multiplied by 216 months) will be based on your income now that the child is an adult, not your income when the child was a baby.  Read more about it in the following article: http://www.cornwell-law.com/10/ohio-back-child-support/
