When you contact our office we will first make sure that we do not have a conflict of interest, and confirm that we do not represent the opposing party in your case.  You will then have a short  (10-20 minute) telephone conversation with a staff member.  During this conversation our staff will take some information about your case.  We will also confirm that the area of law in which you need information is an area in which we practice.   Please be patient – having this background information prepared in advance of the consultation will allow you to make the best use of your consultation. We do not want you to spend the first 20 minutes of your consultation having to talk about names, addresses, ages of children, phone numbers, e-mails, your county, your next court date, your case number, etc.  We want your consultation to be as helpful as possible!
